members of First Christian Church of Canton Ohio spearheaded an effort to create a retirement living community in the Canton/Massillon area. The organizers had a vision. They saw a need for a retirement community offering a continuum of care. Their goal was to develop one of the area’s first retirement communities to include Independent Living, Assisted Living and Nursing Care under one roof.

The doors of Canton Christian Home opened in November of 1976.  In 1991 Canton Christian Home was expanded adding a new wing which included additional Assisted Living accommodations.
