1.     Wills - A bequest through a will enables you to make a significant gift to the Association of Benevolent Care while retaining full control of your assets throughout your life.

  2.     Property - To give appreciated property check with your counsel and us before selling. If you have held such assets longer than a year, you can give them and deduct any "paper profits" from your taxable income. Also, capital gains tax is not due on assets given to charity.

  3.    Charitable Gift Annuities - These are available to individuals who wish make a gift and receive an income for life. Donors receive annuity payments at fixed, very high rates of returns (up to 10.6%) for life. Upon death the residual passes to the Association of Benevolent Care.

  4.     Other Planned Gifts - The Director of Development is available to explore other giving options and work with personal financial advisors and attorneys. 

The Association for Benevolent Care, the funding corporation for Canton Christian Home, encourages gifting to support the Home's mission and values. Current and planned gifts are a necessity because Canton Christian Home will always have residents who are unable to pay their full monthly care costs.
