Christian Home offers Apartment Living and Residential with Services for residents who are capable of self-care. In addition we also offer Assisted Living, and Nursing Care for individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. Short-term Rehab is also offered for individuals needing physical, occupational or speech therapies.
Canton Christian Home is an independent, non-profit, 501(c) (3) faith-based, CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community). We are governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. Daily operations are the responsibility of the Executive Director and the Leadership team.
Yes, we feel that not only do pets promote health and happiness among seniors, but they are also a part of the family. Canton Christian Home allows residents to have one dog under 40 pounds or up to two cats per household in apartment living. Residents with pets are asked to adhere to our community pet policy.
Yes, you can continue to see your own doctor or you can choose to switch to one of the doctors that sees residents on site at Canton Christian Home.
Yes, in order to promote the well-being of all people living, visiting and working in our community, Canton Christian Home is a tobacco free campus. Vaping is also not permitted.
Canton Christian Home has a 26 passenger bus for regularly scheduled weekly/monthly courtesy trips to grocery stores, banks, and pharmacies. Additional trips for concerts, shopping, sightseeing, dining out and other events in the community are scheduled each month. For a fee, you can engage the services of an outside transportation company for personal outings. You can also utilize the services of SARTA Pro-line for transportation needs.

Yes, many residents in Independent Living can have their cars here at Canton Christian Home. Residents who are driving have a reserved parking space.
You and your family will enjoy the peace of mind knowing that residents in all areas are protected by a 24 hour emergency call system. Canton Christian Home maintains 24 hour nursing care and nighttime security.
Yes, this is your home and we want you to bring your cherished possessions and best loved memories. We encourage you to express your individual style. Some modifications can be made with prior approval.
No. Residents do sign a resident agreement that details the responsibilities of the resident and Canton Christian Home. Residents who wish to vacate need to provide a 30 day notice.
Children/grandchildren and family are welcome to visit you at Canton Christian Home. This is your home, and we encourage you to invite your family to join you for dining and visits.
There is a security deposit payable at the time of admission. It is fully refundable. The amount varies depending on the type of unit. There is also an application fee of $150.00 to be paid at the time an application is submitted.
While families on occasion have various objections to their loved one(s) moving to a retirement community, residents consistently tell us that coming to Canton Christian Home was the best gift they could give themselves and their families.
