Did you know that every human being that has ever lived or will ever live, have only one thing in common, with another human being? Care to guess what that may be? It is that we, as human beings, were created with uniqueness. Of course, we all have some things in common like, a head, arms, legs, a heart, and so on. But that is where the similarity ends.
It is our combination of everything we have learned over our many, many years that shape us differently than those around us. If I have never ran a marathon in my life, I have no clue the blood, sweat, and tears needed in completing such a race. Does this make me less of a person? Of course not. It’s important to remember that doing something that doesn’t bring you joy, is probably not the right thing for you. Finding a path that leads you to joy is the right thing for you.
You only have one life to live. So why not start living it with true authenticity? Don’t hide behind what others think you are or should be! If you want to learn a new language at 60, do it! If you want to wear fashions that are considered outdated or outlandish, go all out! If you want to lick the batter from the mixing bowl, go for it! I may someday train and run in a marathon, but if I don’t, that’s okay, I’ll still be me!
